When Reshma and Eric contacted us for the first time for their Tampa Indian Fusion Wedding, we knew they would be a great addition to the Pea to Tree family. They are both from New Mexico and planning a wedding from afar, was definitely no easy task. But having us on board gave them the reassurance, confidence, and peace of mind needed to make hard planning decisions.

We, of course, started by dissecting the budget, and soon we were on the hunt of finding the perfect venue. Keeping up with our planning process, from our couple flying into Tampa a few times, creating an amazing wedding design, hiring all necessary vendors, and coordinating the wedding rehearsal, the wedding day was fast approaching.
Wedding Day
10 am the morning of August 5th marked the first day of the rest of their lives together. This wedding was a beautiful representation of the blend of two distinct cultures. We, Pea to Tree Events, captured the uniqueness of both Hindu and Western wedding traditions and created the ultimate modern fusion design for the bride and groom.
The Hyatt Regency Clearwater was the perfect backdrop to host Reshma and Eric’s fusion wedding. Its amazing views ensured the experience of a lifetime for their families traveling from out of state, India and Zambia.
For the Hindu Ceremony, guests were greeted by an enchantment of natural elements. As they walked through the entrance of the meticulously crafted ballroom, they entered a magical room. The aisle was embellished with soft lanterns and vases, that led to a wooden handed crafted mandap. The mandap was covered in ivory flowers with hints of coral and blush roses. This well-executed design, perfectly fit the magical garden theme for the Hindu ceremony.
The brides first look, was a coral, ivory and gold saree, that seemed to capture the love, joy, and emotions of their beautiful union during the Hindu service. A ceremony that can only be described as simplistic elegance, with inspiring earth tones, and the fantasy feel of an enchanted forest.
In course with Hindu tradition, following the ceremony, guests were invited to lunch. A room filled with vegetarian Indian cuisine, guests savored every bit of the chosen dishes. After lunch, the guests had a bit of downtime to rest before the upcoming Christian ceremony.

For the evening Christian ceremony, the guests were escorted onto an outdoor terrace overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The bride wore a breathtaking white dress with matching headpiece while her groom effortlessly executed Mr. 007 himself, in a black tuxedo. The bridesmaids’ flawlessly shaded champagne dresses complimented the senses while the violin duo filled the air with romance.
Followed by the Christian ceremony, guests enjoyed the sunset on the 8th-floor terrace during cocktail hour. While indulging in light bites, tasty cocktails, and light music. At the very end of the cocktail hour when most guests made their way down to the reception ballroom, sprinkles of rain starting to fall (we were blessed, but we also always have a plan B when things like that arise). As guests made their entrance to the reception ballroom, the enchanted forests that embodied the elegance and cultural feel of the Hindu wedding were now transformed in a more magical evening.
Peace, excitement, and love, highlighted the evening as the bride and groom danced the night away. As Zambian beats, Bollywood music, and live singing filled the room, the dance floor was Packed. The couple was blessed being surrounded by friends and family who traveled far to come to enjoy their Tampa Indian Fusion Wedding.
3 dresses, 2 ceremonies, equated to 1 perfect day.
Here is what the couple had to say, about working with us!
We worked with Georgette for a little over a year. We had not one, but two weddings planned for one day to be followed by a cocktail hour then reception. Georgette and her team worked tirelessly to ensure that everyone was taken care of, (us) the wedding couple and our guests. She even had snacks delivered to our room to ensure we did not starve during this 22 hour day. The whole day was orchestrated like a symphony. Thank you for keeping your cool and all details in place for our big day. Our day was extra special because we did not have to sweat the small stuff and we could just enjoy the moments with each other, our families, and our nearest and dearest. She can help you find vendors or even work with those you (or your mum) select for yourself. She is full of laughs, surprise gifts, and a adds a personal touch to the couples she works with. It was our pleasure and greatest of luck to have you by our side
