Bonjour mes amis,
2015 is here and with the surge in engagements over the holiday season we are excited to feature some of the trends coming our way. In 2014 we’ve seen a lot of vintage, now it is time to say bye bye to the Great Gatsby and welcome more traditional luxurious wedding back into our lives.
We will be dissected the trends a bit more, but here is a quick overview on what is happening this year
Flowers:
Think absolute luxurious florals, grand centerpieces, an abundance of flowers. Flowers will be very romantic, soft, and feminine. No more flowers in mason jars, but more elaborate vases.
Wedding Dresses:
For 2015, designers are catering to a more confident and fashion conscious bride. Women are exposed to much greater range of design styles, in this digital age. Brides are more fashion savvy and are not afraid to push the limits.
Wedding Rings:
We love white gold and platinum, but we know it is not for everyone. We will be seeing some yellow gold and rose gold, thanks to celebrity brides like Blake Lively and Lauren Conrad, making their way back into engagement stores. If you are looking for something completely different, which may even look better on your skin tone, this is it.
Decor:
Metallic colors are on the rise like copper, but gold will still have a huge presence. From centerpieces to invitation fonts, brides looking to give off vintage vibes to those who want to create an ultra glam mood, expect to see more of this metallic. Expect elaborate decors, but full of customization.
Cake:
We will be revisiting classic cake designs in 2015. Traditional cakes could be design to reflect this modern age, with cream or ivory colors, instead of the typical pure white. White does not have to be boring either, add some green foliage or flowers in a bolder color.
