You got engaged to your Jewish fiancé/e and are in the middle of planning your wedding, and his family ask the question: So, what style chuppah are you having?
Your eyes open wide in confusion, wondering why would you possibly need a chuppah.
Well, a chuppah sometimes also called huppah, is a beautifully decorated canopy under which a Jewish couple stand during their Jewish wedding ceremony. it represents the garden of Eden with the four poles. It symbolizes the new home that the couple will create, therefore the bride and groom are brought to the chuppah by both parents. According to the ancient rabbis, the chuppah is compared to the tent of Abraham. If you are looking for a way to retain your family’s ethnic cultures in the wedding, then having a chuppah offers just that to your guests and family. You can decorate your chuppah however you like. Personally we love creativeness when it comes to creating a chuppah for our Jewish couples here in Tampa bay, Florida. We want it to represent our couples uniqueness, so it can be as elaborate as possible with hanging floral, crystals, but it can also be simple with draping and a few arrangements.
Here are a few that we love, so take a look and be inspired:
I mean, seriously look at the hanging florals from this chuppah, don’t you just love it?
We also love the floral design on this one, simple yet elegant.
About adding a little creativity and greens?
This one is the simplest one, as it only have draping.
How beautiful are the colors.
And, of course we know anything Karen Tran does is amazing.
