Bonjour mes amis,
When it comes to thank you cards, it is a must! Whether you like your gift or not, write a note of gratitude. I’ve seen couples who completely disregarded the fact that their guests gifted them something, BUT luckily this is not you! We know it takes time, so follow our advice on getting them done effectively. Today’s Tips:
1. Don’t Wait: Instead of waiting until after the wedding, and your honeymoon, make it a point to just write and send your thank you cards as you receive and open your gifts. You should send them within three months of receipt, so no you don’t have all year. It also let your guests know that you have received the gifts, and that it didn’t get misdelivered or stolen at the reception. Print your guests list and as gifts come in, register it next to their name.
2. One Day at a Time: You don’t have to tackle writing all your notes in one day, but a little bit everyday will for sure get you to the finish line on time. I would recommend setting a goal for yourself, whether it is five cards a day or 30 in one weekend, stick to it.
3. Get help from the husband: I know he would rather watch sports, instead of writing thank you notes, but he can help you. If he does not want to write, have him address and stamp the envelopes.
4. Have fun: Writing thank you notes for hours, could be a bit exhausting. Make it a fun thing by having a glass of wine, some nice music, and occasionally have your husband massage your shoulders.
But writing them early and tracking each gifts will definitely make your life so much easier.
Happy planning!!!
